Flexible homokinetic "G" coupling consist of two metallic half-joints
with precision-tooled, circular, sectioned hollows in which special shock-absorbers are
placed. These shock-absorbers are heat, acid and oil-resistant.
"G" couplings can operate vertically, horizontally and set at an incline
and comfortably tolerate changes or reversals in charge. The units are built in series so
the various components can easily be interchanged. The "G22"
cast-iron normally used in their construction offers high mechanical resistance and is
particularly suited to moments of high torque, thereby also garanteeing durability.
"G" couplings permit a full and secure transmission movement between the
shafts, effectively absorbing impacts and torque stress. Their load-bearing capacity is
ensured by the shock-absorbers, which work by compression rather than flection. The
shock-absorbers are linked to the couplings by means of a special resin; this resin is
more reliable than standard commercial resisns because it is resistant to oil,
salt-erosion and atmospheric agents.
On request the couplings can be supplied in spheroidal "GS" cast-iron and
in addition to supplying standard size models, we can also produce special made-to-order
couplings to non-standard measurements.
"G" couplings are resistant to oil, grease, dirt, sand and humidity.
